Elizabeth

I so enjoy visiting Elizabeth. I have such fond memories of activating that facility back in the 90's when we acquired it. I was working in Operations at the time when CCA acquired operation of the facility from a competitor. I spent about 90 days on the ground to help our activation team get ready for ICE (then INS) detainees.

Our first warden was Mike Samberg. I will always cherish that time I had with Mike during that activation and with that, it will always make Elizabeth a special facility to me.

My most recent tour on Tuesday the 16th was excellent. Warden Collins and staff are doing a great job with a very important partner, ICE.
