Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

To the CCA family,

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

These are powerful words of Martin Luther King, Jr. that are as true today as they were when he wrote them decades ago. One person's judgment, bias, hatred and harm against another can do such damage to a society that is, inherently, good.

As we reflect on the profound impact Martin Luther King had in helping generations of people move towards inclusion and acceptance, I invite us all to spend moments on Monday, January 16 giving tribute to his memory. A great way to do this is to view the below web site that is for The Martin Luther King Jr. Center. It is a fascinating web site that has many resources, including his sermons and writings.

Thank you all for helping us ensure that we are fulfilling our mission of providing just, humane treatment to everyone in our care.

Damon

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly."

—Martin Luther King, Jr.
