November CCA Way Contest Submission
The month of November is the perfect month to talk about teamwork. This month we celebrate Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Without teamwork there would be no celebrations of these two holidays. Our veterans have used teamwork both with foreign forces as well as within our own ranks to make America the respected world power that we are. The pilgrims also showed that teaming up with the Native Americans prevented the demise of the infant nation.
Here at the North Fork Correctional Facility, accomplishing our goal of being the industry leader would be impossible without working together. I work in the California Disciplinary Hearing Office. Due to time constraints and ACA requirements, I rely completely on the other staff members in the office to keep the disciplinary process flowing smoothly. The California Department of Corrections staff that are assigned to our facility work closely with us to ensure that contract requirements are met in a timely manner.
I have worked in corrections for going on eleven years, and this is my second tour here at North Fork. I chose to return to CCA and North Fork in large part because of this facility's reputation for getting the job done. At North Fork, truly, Together Everybody Achieves More.
