California Partnership Brings Community CCA Expands Under Contract with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

Two CCA facilities are opening their doors to 2,336 additional offenders from the state of California. Under an amended agreement with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), California will be able to house additional inmates at North Fork Correctional Facility and Red Rock Correctional Center.

CCA expects to begin receiving these new inmates during the first quarter of 2010, with a gradual ramp-up estimated to be finished by the first quarter of 2011.

“This expansion will generate 200 plus jobs,” says Fred Figueroa, Warden at North Fork. “The increased revenue the city of Sayre will make is going to add thousands of dollars to the community itself and the surrounding area.”
