Many Lake Erie employees who worked at the facility with the previous provider have stayed on board with CCA.
To the CCA Team,
Lake Erie Correctional Institution is now officially part of the CCA national correctional system. As of January 1, CCA is the proud owner of this outstanding 1,798-bed male facility, which we operate for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
We've had a very smooth transition these past few months, and are happy to have our new team onboard. Seven CCA employees transferred to Lake Erie, and they are getting used to bundling up for the snowy weather! The overwhelming majority of current Lake Erie employees who were employed by the former operator are remaining with CCA – there are 215 of them today. Plus, we have 10 brand new people who joined us. We're so proud that all of these individuals have made a commitment to our company.
We acknowledge the outstanding performance of all of you who helped to make this transition a smooth and successful event, particularly the many members of the Business Unit 2 and Division III organization, under the direction of Operations Vice President Daren Swenson and Operations Managing Director Melody Turner. We wish Warden Barry Goodrich and his entire team a safe and enjoyable new year.
Let's make Lake Erie feel welcome by going to InsideCCA and posting welcome comments on our front-page announcement about the new team.
Thanks, Damon
