EAP - Can It Help You?
July 2010 CISM Newsletter
EAP-What does it stand for?
Employee Assistance Program.
What can it mean to you as an employee of CCA?
Actually a lot.
During my travels to our various facilities it concerns me that so many of you verbalize you are not aware of this important benefit CCA offers you and your family.
EAP is a FREE service, that's right FREE to YOU and your FAMILY!
Let's think a moment about these questions:
-
Ever have a problem parenting an adolescent?
-
Ever experience a relationship problem-seperation-divorce?
-
Ever have difficulties at work?
-
Ever have financial troubles?
-
Ever experience emotional upsets?
-
Ever wonder if your usage of alcohol or drugs are excessive?
-
Ever feel stressed?
-
Ever feel depressed?
Well, if you answered yes or even maybe to any one of these, then EAP can help you. We all know that life brings challenges such as these and more. And we all agree that our industry adds another layer of challenge. So why not arrange for some help?
EAP is confidential. Your concerns remain private with your EAP contact person. EAP will not share personal or private information with CCA. I know it may not be "comfortable" for correctional professionals to ask for help BUT is it not smart and does it take more strength to do the right thing at times of stress and crisis?
Think about it. You can speak to a professional 24 hours a day. You can see a professional 3 visits at absolutely at no cost. If further visits occur, the EAP will work with you to determine if your insurance plan or reduced fees might be an option.
So why wait? CCA is extending a hand of help to you and your family. All you have to do is take that hand.
