Growth & Opportunity – GOing Forward
The most successful companies always look within to flesh out a plan for their future. Sometimes that means asking tough questions and taking a 360-foot view at how we operate our business, meet the needs of our partners, develop our employees and engage our communities.
After months of introspection, study and research, we at CCA have developed a strategic plan that combines the strength of our mission with our vision and plots our course for years to come. This plan will enable us to remain ready and relevant, as we continue to provide real value to government at all levels, across the country.
The new name for the way we lead and operate our business is called CCA GO – moving toward Growth and Opportunity. CCA GO is our strategic plan to support the direction of our company. The CCA GO process, over time, will become a foundation for our strategic and annual plan development.
Over the past several months, the executive vice presidents and officers have worked together with input from throughout our company to develop our CCA GO plans. We began the year with clarity and alignment of our strategic and annual plans. One of the results of our planning process was the development of our six strategic goals for CCA GO:
Create Shareholder Value - Revolutionary corrections management that delivers safe and secure beds at a per diem that captures a strong return on investment and percentage of the market share.
Build Correctional Partnerships - Create a more favorable environment to support correctional partnerships with federal, state and local government agencies.
Right People in Right Place - Place the right people in the right jobs at the right time and for the right reason.
Develop “Best in Class” Leaders - Recruit and develop a pool of “best in class” leaders.
Deliver Operational Excellence - Operate the best adult correctional facilities in the United States.
Optimize Existing Inventory – Continue to market and make available bed capacity in state-of-the-art correctional facilities to flexibly meet the needs of government.
Our success will come through the combined efforts of every one of us in the company. As we continue through the course of our year, we will provide periodic updates to you on our progress.
As always, thank you for everything you do each day to make CCA the best full service adult corrections system in the United States. Jointly, we will grow – and “GO” – together.

Ken Bishop at T Don Hutto:
I think it is everyones job to control costs to raise profit margins so that our stock price can reflect our attractiveness to investment. I believe all of us need to think inside and outside of the box to make small cost saving changes. If everyone makes small change to decrease waste or excess, then it will reflect largely on the companies bottom line which will help CCA achieve its goals. CCA has the ability to retain its best in class reputation and can also be one of the most attracitve to investors if we can all help profits grow by managing our costs on the ground level and working our way up. Low cost and high profits will ultimately make us GO towards our short and long term goals.
