CCA Named 2010 Best in Business by Nashville Business Journal
Last week, at an awards banquet in downtown Nashville, CCA was named Nashville Business Journal's Best in Business Award 2010 as winner for the category of businesses with more than 500 employees.
CCA Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer Tony Grande accepted the award on behalf of CCA.
"It was a source of pride to be able to accept this award on CCA's behalf," says Grande. "But more importantly, it was an honor to accept the award on behalf of our 17,000 employees who made winning this award possible. That we were selected among several of Nashville's elite companies, only further enhances the pride I feel for our company."
Best in Business Award nominations were judged on each company's financial history, company growth, profitability, company values and community outreach.
"This award acknowledges CCA's strong financial performance," explains Grande. "But even more importantly, it recognizes the quality of services we provide our partners, the dedication of our staff and our commitment to being a good community partner to the city of Nashville."
CCA Co-founder Don Hutto shared his pride in CCA during an interview with the Nashville Business Journal. "It's absolutely astonishing to me," he explains. "I had bright hopes, but I never imagined that we would be moving towards three decades in operations and have nearly 80,000 beds in use. I'm just so pleased."
"This award validates for us what we already know, CCA is an exceptional company and has, and will continue to have, a major impact on city of Nashville," says Grande.
