New CCA Partnership Contracts and Renewals

CCA has successfully renewed existing – and entered into new – partnership agreements with several federal, state and local corrections agencies.

“These contracts reflect the many strengths of correctional partnership – flexibility, adaptability, cost effectiveness and responsiveness,” said Tony Grande, CCA executive vice president and chief development officer. “Our common-sense solutions address the correctional needs of government. CCA provides a relief valve for overcrowding, ensures public safety and makes the most hardworking taxpayers’ dollars.”

CCA has established new contracts with:

  • The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for Metro-Davidson County Detention Center (Nashville, Tenn.).
  • The Oklahoma Department of Corrections for Cimarron Correctional Facility (Cushing, Okla.) and Davis Correctional Facility (Holdenville, Okla.).
  • Wyandotte County, Kansas for Leavenworth Detention Center (Leavenworth, Kan.).

CCA has entered into amendments with:

  • The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation increasing its available bed capacity by 2,336 beds.
  • Hernando County, Florida, extending the base term by two years.

CCA has renewed contracts with:

  • The Bureau of Prisons for Cibola County Correctional Center (Milan, N.M.) and McRae Correctional Facility (McRae, Ga.).
  • The Hamilton County (Tenn.) Corrections Department for Silverdale Correctional Facility (Chattanooga, Tenn.)
  • The Kentucky Department of Corrections for Marion Adjustment Center (St. Mary, Ky.) and Otter Creek Correctional Center (Wheelwright, Ky.).
  • The Mississippi Department of Corrections for Delta Correctional Facility (Greenwood, Miss.) and Wilkinson County Correctional Facility (Woodville, Miss.).
  • The Tennessee Department of Corrections for Whiteville Correctional Facility (Whiteville, Tenn.).
  • The Washington Department of Corrections for available CCA facilities (currently housed at Red Rock Correctional Center in Eloy, Ariz.).

In “New CCA Partnership Contracts and Renewals” in the Winter 2010 issue of CCA Source, the company is listed as having renewed its partnership with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) for the operation of California City Correctional Center. A news release issued on January 13, 2010 by the company announced that CCA was not selected by the BOP for continued management of federal offenders at the facility. The current contract with the BOP at the California City facility expires on September 30, 2010. We regret the error.
